Five Bold Predictions for the 2017-2018 Season

Dorance Armstrong Wins Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year

As of now there is almost no one that is able to touch Dorance Armstrong on his amazing defensive performances. He was the brightest spot on this team last season and should continue to be for the next. With impressive stats, there is no reason why you should expect him to fall short of Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, which makes this prediction not as bold as others.

More from Kansas Jayhawks

What if he did? With ten sacks, 20 tackles for a loss, 40 solo tackles, and 16 assisted tackles on his resumé, it is going to be not as hard as these other bold predictions. Things could, however, just not work out for him this season and he misses the mark, but I highly doubt it.

With such an amazing performance last season and a dismal supporting cast, Armstrong should be favored heavily to continue his unrelenting production. It’ll be a lot of fun to see Armstrong compete next season.
