This term started being used colloquially during the 2014 playoff run when the Royals defied expectations time after time. They followed up this sentiment in the 2015, breaking opponents backs late in games.

This magic occurred in both the regular season and in the postseason. There have been moments this season where the Royals have had that same juice and it’s brought fans back to how we felt during those times.

In the first two games of this series versus Colorado, the Royals have scored their first run because of the Rockies throwing the ball away. These are the mistakes the Royals themselves were making over the past couple weeks and now they’re capitalizing on other team’s mistakes. That’s exactly how they got where they needed in 2014 and in 2015.
