Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Target in 2017 – Number 7: BEN ROETHLISBERGER

2016 Ranking: 18th

Ben Roethlisberger is one of the best quarterbacks in the league when healthy. It’s the healthy part that has always been the knock on Big Ben, as he’s missed more than one game over the last two seasons.

Roethlisberger scored 252.2 points for his teams a year ago and threw for 3,819 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions in 14 games. He has the ability to put up monster numbers in fantasy (like he did in week four last season against Kansas City, throwing for 300 yards and five touchdowns), but he also has his not-so-good games where he throws three interceptions.

When drafting Big Ben, you’ll want to make sure you have a stable backup because the Steelers quarterback tends to get bitten by the injury bug frequently. If he’s healthy, he’s a solid starter every week, but after missing six games the last two years, Roethlisberger can’t be heavily depender on to be a weekly starter.

Roethlisberger is a solid draft choice when the eighth round hits and people begin to make their run on quarterbacks. With Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant (not to mention Le’Veon Bell, who is a great receiving running back), Roethlisberger has more than his fair share of weapons to throw to.

If you really want to be delighted during the season, draft Antonio Brown in the first round and add Roethlisberger later. You’ll love seeing the results of that duo together on your fantasy team.
