Royals rumors are off and running, with the Kansas City Royals trading for three pitchers to add to their squad for their playoff run. With more Royals rumors suggesting the team could add more pitching, who else is out there?

The Kansas City Royals made their big move, but is another move on the way? Jon Heyman seems to think so, tweeting that the Royals could be adding more arms to their arsenal.

Dayton Moore made one hell of a deal on Monday, sending Matt Strahm, Travis Wood, and 18-year old minor leaguer Esteurys Ruiz to San Diego in exchange for starter Trevor Cahill and relievers Ryan Buchter and Brandon Maurer.

The latter two are controllable past 2017, which makes this deal even bigger for the Royals. This team has their sights set on winning the American League Central and making a big run in the postseason, which no one will doubt their chances at doing either of those things.

As mentioned above, Cahill could end up being a relief option for the Royals, so it’s not farfetched to think the team could go out and get another guy for the rotation. The Royals are smart to look into adding another starter because they really just need one more legitimate arm in that rotation to make it one of the best in the entire league.

Danny Duffy, Jason Hammel, Ian Kennedy, and Jason Vargas is a solid four-man rotation down the stretch. Even if Cahill takes on the five-spot, it’s still a damn good rotation. Could someone else be acquired to make it THE best rotation?

Let’s take a look at some of the names that could be acquired. I sorted the names being mentioned (even some that aren’t, but could happen) by different categories.
