We’re just getting started with the second half of the year and not many Royals fans thought we’d be back in this thing after how badly the 2017 season began.

I’ll be honest. After sinking to ten games under .500, I really thought that the Kansas City Royals’ 2017 season was a wash and that they needed to start selling off their biggest and brightest stars.

Now, however, the Royals have shown a lot of fight, just like they have in years past, and they’re right back in this thing! They only sit three games out of first in the division and are a game and a half out of the second Wild Card spot.

While Royals fans would much rather win the division than compete in a Wild Card game, everyone knows that baseball is a crapshoot. Anything can happen in any game and we saw that firsthand in the 2014 Wild Card Game at Kauffman Stadium.

All the Royals have to do is make it to the playoffs and from there… Anything is possible. Even a third trip to the World Series in just four years.
