ROYALS WHO DESERVE TO BE ALL-STARS – NUMBER 4: MIKE MOUSTAKAS

Shockingly, Mike Moustakas isn’t even ranked in the top five for third basemen in All-Star voting. Moose more than deserves to be one of the higher ranked third basemen, as he’s having a career year for the Royals.

Moustakas is slashing .268/.305/.532 with 19 home runs and 46 RBI in 265 at bats. I’ll agree that Moose shouldn’t be starting in the All-Star Game, but he definitely deserves to play in it. He’d be a blast to have in the Home Run Derby and has the fifth most home runs out of any player in the American League.

In 2015, Moose made it to Cincinnati (which is where the All-Star Game was that year) as an alternate, as Royals fans voted him in. If Moustakas is in a similar situation this July, don’t be surprised to see Royals fans singlehandedly get Mike Moustakas back into the All-Star Game again.

Moose is currently trailing the likes of Miguel Sano, Jose Ramirez, Josh Donaldson, and others. I believe Moustakas can get into the “alternate” race, so let’s start voting Royals fans!
