Will McClay: Dallas Cowboys

When people talk about the Dallas front office, all of the attention immediately goes to Jerry and Stephen Jones. However, the Kansas City Chiefs would be very smart to investigate Assistant Director of Player Personnel Will McClay.

McClay has been credited by many as the man behind orchestrating the recent successful drafts of the Cowboys. For many years, Dallas was a bit of a laughing stock when it came to acquiring talent. There have been no shortage of memes regarding Jerry Jones. However, that has changed a lot in recent years, and McClay seems to be the man to thank for that.

The big thing with Will McClay is that he has no chance of ever becoming the Dallas Cowboys general manager. That job belongs to owner Jerry Jones, who only shares it with his son Stephen. The Cowboys are a family affair, and McClay isn’t in the family. That means he will eventually end up somewhere else. No reason why that shouldn’t be Kansas City.
