Way Too Early Starting Five

Point Guard: Devonte’ Graham

This position designation is well deserved. There is no speculation or debate on who should get the starting position at point guard next season. Devonte’ Graham has trusted the system that Bill Self runs in Lawrence and earns his right to be at the helm for the Jayhawks. To be honest I could not be more excited to see what Graham’s talent brings to this team next season.

This year it is no longer Frank Mason’s team, but Devonte Graham’s.

Last season Graham had a secondhand role to Frank Mason. Graham averaged 13.4 points a game, along with a 42.8 field goal percentage, and an average of four assists a game during the 2016-2017 campaign.

This season, Graham should be set for the best season of his entire college career and impress on all fronts of the offense.

The way Devonte’ Graham has risen while wearing a Jayhawk uniform is truly impressive. The former Appalachian State commit has become one of the most talented point guards at Kansas and forms a impressive backcourt.

This year it is no longer Frank Mason’s team, but Devonte Graham’s. This is his team and his year to shine.
