The KC Royals are slowly, but surely climbing out of the hole they dug themselves into this season. They’re currently sitting at 16-21 and are four and a half games behind in the division.

More from Kansas City Royals

The funniest tidbit to note right now is that the Minnesota Twins are actually winning the AL Central at the moment with a record of 19-15. The Royals have yet to beat the Twins, which is such a different story from the past three seasons when the Twins were KC’s punching bag.

Now it’s still too early to be scoreboard watching, but the Royals are only three and a half games out of the second Wild Card spot at the moment. Yes, it’s too early to be thinking about that, but it is definitely something worth mentioning.

It shows that the Royals aren’t out of anything yet. If they can stay relevant for the next month, then I don’t see Dayton Moore trading anyone. He believes in this team and lately, they’ve shown why that faith is accurate.
