The Kansas City Royals are sitting at 13-21 and are still last in the American League Central. This season hasn’t been the best so far, but the offense has slowly started warming up.

More from Kansas City Royals

Okay, yeah, the Royals just took three out of four against the Rays of Tampa Bay, but with how badly the Royals have looked this season, who cares who they win against? They’re winning and that’s all that matters.

Plus, the Royals won these games on the road, which is equally impressive, considering how bad the team has played on the road in 2017. They’ll now welcome in the Orioles, who they’ve had some beef with over the years.

Baltimore has been a power team over the past few years, so if the Royals starting pitching, which has been great so far in 2017, can hold the O’s at bay, that’ll be impressive. The O’s pitching, however, isn’t all that great and neither is Kansas City’s offense, so those will be the deciding match-ups in these games.

Obviously trade talk is still in the air when it comes to this team, but the offense putting up some runs against a bad team is a good sign. Maybe that will spark something with the lineup, but I guess we’ll have to wait for the series to begin in order to find out.

Let’s go Royals!
