Kansas City Chiefs: 5 Guys To Watch For 2018

No. 1: Sammy Watkins – WR – Bills

More from Chiefs Free Agency

The Kansas City Chiefs would be foolish to not offer at least a one-year “prove it” deal to Sammy Watkins next year. The Bills are certainly foolish to be writing off their budding star so quickly. I seriously laugh at people who say Watkins isn’t a quality football player. Anyone who makes that claim simply isn’t watching.

The ONLY potential drawback to having Sammy Watkins on your roster is that he’s had foot problems the last two years. THAT IS IT! Apart from that, all Watkins has done is blow the doors off of every corner who lines up against him.

There is serious potential for a team to score big by adding Sammy Watkins on a one-year deal in 2018. That team should be the Kansas City Chiefs, especially if they are starting Pat Mahomes. Watkins is a big play threat who stretches the field on every down. That could be a huge deciding factor in the postseason.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a very strong roster to work with, but there are always opportunities to get better. John Dorsey has shown that in his time as the Chiefs GM. He has also shown a penchant for capitalizing on the mistakes of other teams. There is always a player out there who just needs another shot to show what they can do.
