The Kansas Jayhawk All-Time Team: Starting Five

SF: Bud Stallworth

Isaac “Bud” Stallworth is another all time great out of the KU program. As of now, Stallworth still holds the record for the largest amount of points scored in a conference game, which is a whopping 50 points against Missouri.

Bud Stallworth’s jersey also hangs in the rafters, and for good reason. Stallworth had a career average of 18.2 points, 6.7 total rebounds, and a 44.7 field goal percentage plus a 69.8 free throw percentage per SportsReference.

This position was the hardest to pick for an all-star team. With the likes of Raef LaFrentz and Nick Collison among the choices at small forward it is a position with players equally as great, yet none were as great as Bud Stallworth.

More from Kansas Jayhawks

Stallworth was one of the highest scoring small forwards in KU Basketball history, which most likely would make him one of the highest scoring players of all time if they recorded three point shots back then.

Stallworth would easily feed off of Mason’s intense energy, getting open looks as Mason creates them. Also with Danny Manning on the roster, the opposing defense should be exhausted by a Kansas all-star team.

This team would be unstoppable, however, the most unstoppable force on the team is yet to be named. Lets take a look at who will own the paint down low: the best player in KU Basketball history.
