SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (SECOND OVERALL PICK)

The Browns might have been the worst team in the NFL last year, but the 49ers weren’t far off. Their only two wins came against the Rams, which goes to show everyone how bad the Rams were too.

The Niners are only four years removed from appearing in the Super Bowl, but man they dropped off quick.

The 49ers signed Matt Barkley and Brian Hoyer this offseason and if that’s not the sign of needing to draft a quarterback, I’m not sure what is.

San Francisco’s biggest storyline was releasing Colin Kaepernick, which came as a surprise to no one. The move, however, left the Niners without a real legit starting quarterback.

The Niners are only four years removed from appearing in the Super Bowl, but man they dropped off quick. A large part of that was that Kaepernick’s play declined after that season, and with that, so did the 49ers’ future as a good team in the NFL.

While the Niners need to improve at other positions, I could see them going with Mitchell Trubisky with the second overall pick. That might be a stretch for Trubisky, but the Niners need a quarterback and they need one fast.
