Big 12 NCAA Bracket Breakdown

The Kansas State Wildcats

Kansas State kind of fell in where you expected they would, and they fell into a interesting play in game. Kansas State will face off against Danny Manning led Wake Forest.

11. With a win against Baylor in the Big 12 Tournament, Kansas State slotted themselves into a spot in the Big Dance. Right now they should probably just be happy to be playing one of the best events in sports. Their maximum shoud be getting to the Round of 32. Their minimum is losing in the First Four.. Kansas State has great potential to go to the Round of 32. If they do, it should cool down the fire under Bruce Weber’s seat at the head coaching job.

First Four

Danny Manning and Bruce Weber meet in a play in game for a matchup against Cincinnati. While I have great respect for Danny Manning and believe his team is on its way to major improvement, Kansas State’s talent should just be too much for the Demon Deacons.

Prediction: Kansas State 77, Wake Forest 64

First Round

With a win over Wake Forest the Wildcats head into a matchup with the sixth-seeded Cincinnati Bearcats. While the Bearcats are both aggressive and an offensive talent, they will have trouble keeping up with DJ Johnson and Wesley Iwundu.

Prediction: Kansas State 66, Cincinnati 62

Second Round

After getting past the Round of 64, Kansas State will face their match in the Bruins. With Lonzo Ball and Bryce Alford, UCLA will be hard to keep up with. That’s how the game will play out, two teams one having major trouble keeping up with the other.

Prediction: Kansas State 59, UCLA 72
