Salvador Perez

Picking a song for Salvador Perez without recycling last year’s selection was difficult. Last year’s selection was ‘#Selfie’ by The Chainsmokers and it really captures his personality and his Instagram account.

But, it’s a new year, a new team (kinda), and a new song has been selected for the Royals’ fun loving backstop. Luckily, I listened to reason and spared you all from ‘Photograph’ by Nickleback.

Salvy’s song selection is ‘Lean On’ by Major Lazer & DJ Snake.

Salvador Perez has been leaned on in many ways over the past few seasons. Aside from catching more innings than the world the last couple of years, he’s always helping support morale for his brothers in the clubhouse.

When Yordano Ventura passed away tragically, Salvador Perez, among others, was one of the people reaching out to support Yodano’s friends, family, and the rest of the team. There are many ‘heart and souls of the team’ for whom the argument could be made, but that honor no doubt, lies with Salvador Perez.
