This game sucked. I really don’t have much else to say other than that. I thought for sure the Kansas City Chiefs had a good chance to advance to the AFC Championship Game, but they faltered in the spotlight once again.

The KC Chiefs will have a lot of questions to answer this offseason, which officially began after they fell to the Steelers on Sunday night. The Chiefs beat themselves with bad penalties, missed guys down field, not being able to stop Bell,  and not being able to get pressure on Big Ben.

It was just one of those games where the Chiefs were never really out of it, but you never felt all that confident that they were going to turn things around. Just a really crappy game that the KC Chiefs obviously wish they could have back.

Had Smith saw Hill wide open down field or connected with Maclin on that big fourth quarter throw, the result of this game could have been different. Sadly, neither of those happened, and here we are… Waiting to watch the Steelers travel to Foxborough next weekend and wondering what could have been.

It was a fun season, Chiefs Kingdom, but the team didn’t play to their seed. They only went as far as they went a season ago and that really, really sucks.

I hate this term, but “there’s always next year”, I guess. Sigh.
