Week 14 – Chiefs Vs Raiders

Chiefs won 21-13 (My prediction: 42-7, Chiefs)

I gave the Kansas City Chiefs offense a lot of build-up for 2016, didn’t I? They didn’t quite score 42 points in this game (hell, the most they scored all season was 37), but they did handle the Oakland Raiders once again, sweeping them for the second straight season.

Time and time again, the Chiefs make the nation ask, “What’s so good about Derek Carr?” by simply getting in his head and beating him.

This was a Thursday night game played in the freezing cold temperatures at Arrowhead Stadium.

Anyone who attended this game deserves a medal because there was no way I was going to sit out in that ten degree weather. I hung out at a bar and drank all night… But anyway.

"Not a whole lot to say here. I think this game goes in Kansas City’s favor and they avoid being swept by Oakland."

The KC Chiefs have proven to be Derek Carr’s kryptonite, as he played his worst game of the season against the Chiefs. His poor performance against the Chiefs likely cost Carr the MVP award, which is flattering to the Chiefs defense for sure.

Time and time again, the Chiefs make the nation ask, “What’s so good about Derek Carr?” by simply getting in his head and beating him. Carr looked horrendous in this one, throwing for only 117 yards on the evening. He was not good.

The storyline from this game was when Carr threw a weird pass that looked like it changed direction mid flight. It caused Amari Cooper to throw his hands up as if to say, “What happened?” and then the stories arose that maybe Carr’s pass had hit the NBC Sky Cam wires. I called BS on this shortly after the story was released and got roasted in the comment section (mostly by Raiders fans).

This was a fun win for the Kansas City Chiefs, but I still wish my score had happened instead. That would have been fun.

Chiefs: 10-3 (Leigh: 8-5)
