Week 15 – Chiefs Vs Titans

Chiefs lost 19-17 (My prediction: 36-3, Chiefs)

Hahahahaaha wow I’m a moron.

I should have known that the Tennessee Titans have the Chiefs number for whatever reason and that Kansas City would lose this game to them in last second fashion.

Not only that, but that they’d lose to their former kicker who they released in 2014 for Cairo Santos. I like Cairo, but come on, that’s just karma.

In all honesty – The Titans should have won the AFC South. They’re better than the Texans, which was indicated last week, and they’re more exciting to watch.

I did not have high expectations for the Titans in 2016. They were coming off a 2-14 season in 2015, flipped draft picks with the Rams, and really didn’t seem to have that impressive of a roster.

Marcus Mariota took the next step in his second season and played well. Tennessee’s run game was also on fire, as they had DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry leading the charge.

This was a very similar loss to the one that Kansas City suffered against Tampa Bay. Their offense was blah, their defense was giving up critical plays, but would force turnovers, and Alex Smith threw a pick in the end zone. *Sad trombone sound here*

This game, like the Texans one earlier in the season, was just a prime example of playing a team at the worst possible time. Had the Chiefs played Tennessee earlier in the season, they’d have won handily. Why couldn’t this game and the Houston game have been switched?

"Tennessee has a chance to be decent in 2016. They’re trending in the right direction for sure, but they’re just not there yet."

In all honesty – The Titans should have won the AFC South. They’re better than the Texans, which was indicated last week, and they’re more exciting to watch. Even though they beat my team, I like Tennessee and hope to see them round the corner next season. They certainly have the pieces to do so.

Everyone circled this game as a win before the season began, but as it inched closer, fans started to question whether or not it could be a trap game for the KC Chiefs. Trap game it was indeed, as the Titans pulled off the upset and almost ruined Kansas City’s chances at a division title.

Chiefs: 10-4 (Leigh: 8-6)
