RUN DEFENSE. D. . .

The San Diego Chargers were having their way with the Chiefs run defense, gashing them for 129 yards on the ground. Early on, San Diego went after the poor run defense, as they were still in the game.

The Chiefs should be fortunate that they pulled away because it forced San Diego to have to throw.

San Diego managed to do this damage on the ground without Melvin Gordon, who was inactive. The leading rusher for the Bolts was some guy named Andre Williams, who took the football 18 times for 87 yards.

Now I’m not trying to go the negative route here, but the Chiefs will likely be facing the Pittsburgh Steelers in the divisional round and they have Le’Veon Bell. Bell terrifies me.

Fortunately, Kansas City has two weeks to improve their run defense before that game takes place. Oh, and maybe Miami can knock the Steelers off. That’d be great.
