UGLY: PASS RUSH

You know, it was actually kind of interesting, as neither quarterback was sacked in this game. Last time these two teams met, Justin Houston dismantled the Broncos offensive line and sacked Siemian three times. Smith was sacked six times in that game.

Siemian had all of the time in the world to throw the football and that’s embarrassing when you look at how poorly the Broncos offensive line has played this season.

This time, however, Houston did not suit up and his absence showed.

The sacks that did occur were wiped out by dumb penalties and now, Kansas City will not get buy one, get one free Big Macs from McDonalds.

Dee Ford hasn’t had a sack in several weeks (though he did have a nice game on Sunday night) and it just goes to show that without Justin Houston, this pass rush is downright atrocious.

Siemian had all of the time in the world to throw the football and that’s embarrassing when you look at how poorly the Broncos offensive line has played this season. The pass rush couldn’t get anything going and what they did manage to get was wiped out by stupid penalties.

Hopefully the team can get through San Diego’s offensive line next week and generate some pass rush before heading into the postseason.
