Ugly: Secondary

Look, we all knew this wouldn’t be pretty, right? Matt Ryan is a potential MVP candidate and he’s throwing the football to freakin’ Julio Jones, who’s one of the best receivers in the entire league.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

We saw Phillip Gaines get smoked last week in Denver and he didn’t look AS bad this week. The secondary didn’t look great though, surrendering 297 passing yards from Matt Ryan and allowing him to go 22 of 34 on the day.

Jones had seven catches for 113 yards and the next best receiver was Devonta Freeman. Freeman had four grabs for 49 yards.

Ryan’s lone touchdown went to Aldrick Robinson, who I’ve never heard of.

So while it could have been much better, it also could have been much, much worse considering the opposition.
