Good: Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill is something else. He’s become the biggest piece on the KC Chiefs offense and it’s apparent time and time again that Alex Smith is always trying to get the football to Hill.

  • Hill first made his name known throughout the country when, after the Chiefs had sacked Trevor Siemian in the end zone for a safety, he took the ensuing kickoff 86 yards to the house. That gave Kansas City nine points in a 30 second span.

We were all waiting for Hill to get a kickoff return for a touchdown WITHOUT a penalty, and he finally did it against the Broncos.

Hill also accounted for 52 yards receiving off of nine receptions and he had the huge touchdown at the end of the game to put the Chiefs within two points. Oh, he accounted for all three touchdowns by the way.

Hill had a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown, and a special teams touchdown in this game. I recall the broadcast saying the last rookie player to do that was Gale Sayers in 1965. What company to be listed with.

I think we’d all admit that it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions when it comes to whether to pull for Hill or not, but the kid has talent. He’s the biggest playmaker on this team right now and no one can argue against that no matter what your opinion of him is. This is coming from someone who’s not a fan of his.

One last note – I love the picture on this slide. How cool was that to see Hill and De’Anthony Thomas high-fiving on Hill’s way to the end zone? You don’t see that every day.
