Over the past couple of weeks, the Kansas City Chiefs have won close games against teams they should have crushed. That has some pundits a little down on KC right now. The Chiefs have been dealing with injuries over the past few weeks. However, there is no doubt that the team is in need of a big time win. Tampa Bay should be a prime candidate for that.

However, it isn’t a stretch to think that the Chiefs might be looking ahead to their next few games. The Chiefs have caught some attention and are now getting strong consideration for prime time match ups. Their next stretch of games will have major bearing on the playoffs. That could distract the team enough to keep them from focusing on a Buccaneers team that is under the radar.

It is games like this that are responsible for the phrase “On any given Sunday…” Realistically, the Chiefs should have little to no problem with the Bucs. However, the situation might be set up perfectly to where they end up slipping. Hopefully the coaching staff has this team focused on what is right in front of them instead of what is down the road.
