I still can’t believe that the KC Chiefs came away victorious in this game. They couldn’t do anything on offense yet their defense played a near perfect game and let their offense off the hook.

The Kansas City Chiefs are now 7-2 on the year, something that none of us thought would happen after their 2-2 start. After that blowout on Sunday Night Football against the Steelers, I thought for sure that this team was destined for another mediocre season.

Instead, they’ve rattled off five straight wins and are now leading the AFC West.

You have to imagine that Raiders fans were hoping the Chiefs would falter, but they didn’t… Their defense kept them in this game and I said before that if the Chiefs won this game, then they’d be a legitimate contender to make it deep into the postseason.

These are the type of games that you look back on and think, “Wow… That win was huge.” and we should be thinking that. This is the second time that the Chiefs have fought back and won a game that they had no business winning.

Next up are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who will come into Arrowhead next weekend. The Bucs have a good offense, but their defense isn’t the best.

The same could have been said for the Panthers though, and we saw how poorly the Chiefs offense played. Let’s just hope the defense shows up big again and that the offense can muster up at least ONE touchdown next week in front of a huge amped Arrowhead Stadium.

I can’t wait.
