Running Back

West or Yeldon?

In a week where Spencer Ware probably won’t be able to play and Jamaal Charles hit the injured reserve, Charcandrick West will see his first start in the 2016 season.

West was a reliable running back for the Chiefs in 2015, rushing for 634 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 214 yards in the air and a receiving touchdown as well.

Ware has gotten more of the football this season than West, but the former starter still puts Kansas City in a decent position to win the game on Sunday.

Any other week, I’d probably pick the Chiefs’ opposition, but they just happened to be playing the Jaguars this week.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars aren’t producing in the run game. T.J. Yeldon looked promising as a rookie last year, rushing for 740 yards and two scores, but he’s been disappointing so far in 2016.

Yeldon currently only has 220 yards on the ground and one trip into the end zone.

Chris Ivory is technically still the backup, but has done almost just as much work as Yeldon in two less games. He has 129 rushing yards and one touchdown so far.

Any other week, I’d probably pick the Chiefs’ opposition, but they just happened to be playing the Jaguars this week.

Advantage: Kansas City
