How Long For Alex Smith To Recover?

The first piece of information the Kansas City Chiefs need right now is when they can expect Ales Smith back in the lineup.  Concussions can be tricky in that regard.  Some players miss an extended period of time with a concussion, as Chiefs fans saw last year.  Others are able to wake up the next morning and be ready to go.

The Chiefs will certainly be hoping that Alex Smith is the latter of those cases.  Regardless of the performance Nick Foles had, Smith is the leader of this offense.  Teams always prefer to have their starting quarterback available to them.  Foles does have experience running Andy Reid’s offense.  However, he does not have experience working with this supporting cast.  That was very evident at times today.

Before anything else can happen with the quarterback spot, this question will have to be answered.  Personally, I want Alex Smith back on the field as soon as possible.  Regardless of the day that Nick Foles had, I am much more confident in this team with their starter at the helm.
