Kansas City Chiefs: Next Five Games Key For Playoff Push
By Ben Almquist
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Kansas City Chiefs finish this five game stretch hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Chiefs get a winnable home game against a young team before taking on the Broncos the following week. That actually makes this match up the most important of this stretch. The Chiefs need to ensure that they have momentum ahead of their show down with Denver.

Tampa Bay has some offensive talent, but have been incredibly inconsistent and underachieving. Jameis Winston is going through a sophomore slump, and his teammates aren’t helping much. This is the kind of game where a defense can really excel. With the Chiefs having one of the more opportunistic defenses in the league, I’m expecting a very big day.
On the other side of the ball, the Bucs haven’t been able to stop anybody. Opponents have marched up and down the field against Tampa Bay. The Chiefs should be getting a lot of good field position from their defense, so don’t be surprised if they put up some points. This is a great match up to end this five game stretch on.
Chiefs Win: 34-9
That’s right, I am picking the Chiefs to win all five games. There is no reason why they shouldn’t. Kansas City is a better team than all of their next five opponents. This should help the Chiefs generate some major momentum ahead of their big match up against Denver.

The Kansas City Chiefs are in good shape right now, but they have to push their advantage. The Chiefs are the only team without a division loss in the AFC West. That puts them in the driver’s seat. Winning these next five games should ensure that the Chiefs are on top of the division heading into the final stretch. That could be the advantage needed to secure the AFC West crown.
