Kansas City Chiefs: Inactives Vs Oakland Raiders Week Six
By Charles Lam
The Kansas City Chiefs will face off against dreaded rival, Oakland Raiders, today at 3:05 central time. The Chiefs will take on the Raiders inside of the Oakland Coliseum in the rain. Lucky for Kansas City, the team is mostly healthy.
The inactive report came out on Twitter a few moments ago and the Kansas City Chiefs don’t have big names on the report this week. The biggest names on the list are, return man Knile Davis and tight end Ross Travis.
I expect the rookie, Tyreek Hill, to take over the kickoff and punt return duties. Another guy who might see work as a returner and possibly a wide receiver is De’Anthony Thomas. He’s active for the first time this season.
Kansas City Star’s Chiefs beat reporter, Terez A. Paylor, reported the information on Twitter this afternoon.
The rest of the Kansas City Chiefs inactive’s are listed below.
A somewhat notable name here is the linebacker, Sio Moore. The Kansas City Chiefs acquired Moore after he was released by the Indianapolis Colts a few weeks ago. Kansas City signed him to the team and released linebacker, Dezman Moses on October 7.
The Oakland Raiders will be without starting running back, Latavius Murray. Murray’s struggling with a toe injury. In his place, DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard will split the running back carries this week.
The great news here is that no big names are inactive for the Kansas City Chiefs for this huge divisional game on the road. Running back, Jamaal Charles should see his role expand for the Kansas City Chiefs offense. The Chiefs need him to play well against the Raiders defense that’s struggled to contain running backs this season.
It might be tough to stay upright during the game. It’s been pouring down rain most of the morning in Oakland but the rain is supposed to exist before game time. However, the field conditions will still be difficult to play on.
I won’t be surprised if a few plays get hurt in this game due to the horrible field conditions. Oakland has been known to have one of the worst fields in the league anyway. Adding a bunch of rain will not help players get their footing. A few twisted ankles should be expected.

Hopefully. no severe injuries occur during the game for either team. Seeing players get injured is always hard to watch. Guys should wear long spiked cleats to dig into the muddy ground to stay upright.
