Will KC Keep The Jets Receivers In Check?

The New York Jets have three impressive wide receivers. They are Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker and Quincy Enunwa.

All three receivers have more than 100-yards receiver through the first two weeks of the 2016 season. Enunwa’s hauled in 13 passes for 146-yards and one touchdown. Marshall’s caught nine passes for 133-yards and Decker’s got eight catches for 163-yards and two touchdowns.

Luckily for the KC Chiefs, all of three receivers were on the New York Jets’ injury report this week. Enunwa practiced in full Wednesday and Thursday with a rib concern. Decker didn’t practice on Wednesday but practiced on a limited basis on Thursday with a shoulder issue. Marshall has yet to practice this week while he recovers from knee and foot injuries.

If Marshall can’t play against the Chiefs this weekend, the Chiefs should thank the Lord above. Marshall is as physical of a wide receiver as there are in the NFL. He runs routes well and catches the ball with his soft hands mostly everytime the ball is thrown in his general direction.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a few question marks at the cornerback position. Phillip Gaines still is figuring out NFL wide receivers and developing strength in his knee. Marcus Peters gets burned a few more times than I would like to admit it. Decker and possibly Marshall could give them issues on the outside similar to what DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller did for the Texans offense against the Chiefs last Sunday.
