First Down: Marcus Peters Getting Some Hate

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters angered more than a few people last week when he raised his fist during the National Anthem last week.  So naturally it was even worse this week when Peters decided to not even stand with the team for the Anthem this week.  Look, I’m not going to get into the depths of this, but the man has a right to protest.

Of course, if you are going to take a controversial stand, that puts you under a pretty big microscope.  Marcus Peters was certainly there early in the game this week as he gave up a big play.  That naturally led to a number of hot takes, but this was (by far) the absolute worst.

"“Marcus Peters needs to go get on the street corner and get shot like a thug.” – real call just now on 810"

Now, please note that Brian is not the author of this take.  He merely transcribed it to Twitter for us.  I have not heard the call myself, but have been told by various other people that it is real.  This is the absolute hottest of takes.  I almost didn’t post this one since this article is intended to be fun.  However, I felt that this provided some context for folks as this is obviously ridiculous.
