Which Wide Receiver Will Step Up?

More receivers are looking to impress the Chiefs and other organizations around the league against the Green Bay Packers. Two guys to watch are: rookie Demarcus Robinson and veteran Rod Streater.

Both guys are fighting for the third string wide receiver slot on the KC Chiefs depth chart. Streater has the NFL experience and Robinson has the youth and extreme talent on his side.

Streater’s played parts of four seasons for the Oakland Raiders before becoming a Chief this offseason. His best season came in 2013. He caught 60 passes for 888 yards and four touchdowns for Oakland nearly three seasons ago.

Streater is 6’3″ tall and 200 lbs. The man from New Jersey is 28-years-old and ready to show case his talents in a Chiefs uniform. He’s made a few nice plays during the 2016 preseason so far. He’s caught three ball for 37 yards in two preseason games. He didn’t play last weekend against the Bears.

Robinson hasn’t done much for the Chiefs in the preseason but his film looks great from college.

In the highlight reel, Robinson made a phenomenal one hand catch. I love the fact that Robinson catches the ball in front of him and not off of his chest protector. Guys that do the latter make me angry because the chances for an incompletion go way up when the receiver catches the ball that way.

I’m excited to see what these receivers can do against the Packers. It will be fun to watch these guys challenge each other tonight.

I expect this game will be pretty entertaining to watch. All the guys on the field need to prove themselves.  In a sense, this is like their Super Bowl. So good football will be played tonight and I can’t wait for the game to start.
