Fantasy Football Running Backs: #12 Lamar Miller – Houston Texans

Lamar Miller looked poised to be a Fantasy Football breakout player in 2015, but the Dolphins inexplicably decided not to use him heavily.  Miller put up quality numbers on limited touches, which just fueled the confusion surround him.  Miller wasted no time in jetting from Miami to Houston where he should get featured much more.

Carrying The Load:  Things seem primed in Houston for Lamar Miller to take over as the full time feature running back.  If that is the case, he should get plenty of touches over the season which will result in a bigger season for his fantasy owners.

Can He Rebound?:  There is the distinct possibility that the Miami Dolphins were right in not playing Miller full time as a feature back.  There is also a possibility that the Texans intend to become more of a passing team built around their young wide receivers.  Either of those things could seriously limit Miller’s touches.

Draft Value – 4th Round:  Miller should be a solid pickup, but he may not have the breakout season that he was primed for in 2015.  So bide your time on him.  Miller is especially valuable if you have built around your receivers.  He should be reliable for a decent number of points, though not the guy you want to base your strategy on.
