FS – Ron Parker, Stevie Brown, Jamell Fleming, Akeem Davis

No surprises for the Kansas City Chiefs here as Ron Parker has his position locked up. Stevie Brown and Jamell Fleming should be fighting it out for the Nickel corner role, though Marcus Cooper may also factor into that spot.

Ron Parker will make this team. However, the rest of this position is very much up for grabs.  Stevie Brown and Jamell Fleming are the top options as backups for now, but this can really go any direction, including guys not listed at FS on the depth chart.  Akeem Davis is a long shot, but nobody can be ruled out at this point.

The Chiefs strength over the past few years has been its stellar defense.  There are some question marks to that group this year, but Training Camp has been promising thus far.  With the return of some of the veteran stars, this should be an elite unit in the 2016 season.  The Chiefs may need it to be if their offense isn’t able to keep pace.

This first preseason game against the Seahawks will tell us a lot.  Hopefully the Chiefs aren’t just all show on the practice field, and the talent we’re seeing will translate to Sundays.  If that is the case, the Chiefs could be a very dangerous team in 2016.
