2016 Fantasy Football Tight Ends: Number 1 – Rob Gronkowski

2015 Stats: 72 REC 1.176 YDS 11 TDS

Let’s be honest.

Picking the top 15 tight ends was rather difficult; picking the best of them all was not.

Rob Gronkowski is far and away the best tight end in the league. He’s the only one who could and definitely should be picked in the first round. With at least 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns each of the last two seasons, Gronkowski is making his case for the best tight end of all time, not just currently.

His production may fall off just a little bit in the first four weeks with Jimmy Garoppolo under center, but with a fresh, likely very angry Tom Brady returning week five, Gronk is going to be wrecking opposing defenses for the rest of the season.

Not everyone is willing to take a tight end in the first round, but not every tight end is Rob Gronkowski. Draft him, watch him put up huge point totals, and when your friend laughs at you for it, remember that when Gronk is averaging more points than their starting running back.
