Most Likely to Dethrone the Royals for AL Central Title – Cleveland Indians

Well, if you haven’t figured it out yet, there’s only one team I haven’t listed yet, and it’s the Cleveland Indians.

More from Kansas City Royals

The Indians are a team that tend to confuse people a lot. They have a stacked rotation consisting of Corey Kluber, Danny Salazar, Josh Tomlin, Trevor Bauer, and Mike Clevinger and their offense is ranked ninth in the majors, according to ESPN. Their bullpen is in the top half of the league, sitting at 12th.

Despite all of these “top half” rankings, the Indians still weren’t able to overcome the White Sox in the standings and still currently sit at second place in the division.

Maybe it’s the whole “Cleveland curse” thing (which Kansas City had on them not too long ago), but the Indians just can’t seem to get over the hump. They last won the division in 2007 and haven’t been to the playoffs since 2013 when they lost to Tampa Bay in the Wild Card round.

Cleveland does, however, own the most AL Central titles with seven. They’ve been successful in the division before and very well have could give our Kansas City Royals a run for their money.
