  • Last year, the Twins were a nice story, much like the Royals were in 2014. They kind of came out of nowhere and gave Kansas City a run for its money midway through the season. I really think that had Ervin Santana not been given an 80-game suspension for PED use, that the Twins would have made the playoffs (likely as a Wild Card team).

This year, the Twins are a mess. Their defense is horrendous and their starting pitching is ranked as the second to worst rotation in the majors, according to ESPN.

Simply put – The Minnesota Twins have little to no chance at winning the division this season. They’ve put themselves into too big of a hole early on in the year and that’ll be a tough obstacle for them to overcome down the stretch.

It’s sort of nice in a way. For years, the Twins owned the KC Royals, and now it’s nice to see it be the other way around.
