The Kansas City Royals didn’t have much competition in the American League Central last season. This season could be very different though. Which team in the AL Central is the biggest threat to stealing the division from the Royals?

As of May 31st before all of the games were played that evening, three of the five teams in the AL Central have winning records. One team is just barely below .500 at 24-26. The other team is long out of any type of playoff spot, sitting 20 games below the .500 mark.

The KC Royals are one of those teams with a winning record in the division and they recently re-grabbed the top spot in the division. They finished last season 12 games ahead of the second place team in the Central (the Twins).

While the Royals owned the AL Central in 2015, they might have stiffer competition this year.
