Justin Houston was an absolute beast for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014. He accumulated 22 sacks and now holds the franchise’s single-season sack record.
In order for the KC Chiefs to be a legit Super Bowl contender in 2016, their defense has to be on point. Having Justin Houston healthy is a huge key for the defense.
The reason why Mr. Houston lands on this list is because he is very injury prone. In the past three seasons, Houston has missed ten games due to injuries and very well could miss a good chunk of the 2016 season.
We’ve all seen that when Justin Houston is healthy and good to go, he’s a phenomenal NFL linebacker. He singlehandedly ran this defense just two seasons ago and is a force to be reckoned with out on the football field.
In order for the KC Chiefs to be a legit Super Bowl contender in 2016, their defense has to be on point. Having Justin Houston healthy is a huge key for the defense. If he’s good to play, the defense should be just fine. If not, we could be looking at some question marks throughout the defense.
It’s also worth noting that Houston has a HUGE contract that the Chiefs signed him to last offseason. If he doesn’t live up to the expectations of that deal, it’s something that the Kansas City Chiefs could struggle to come back from for awhile.
