Chiefs with Most to Prove in 2016 – Number 3: Knile Davis

This one might be a little unfair, as Knile Davis might not even be a member of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016, but for the time being, he sits at number three here.

Davis was a third-round pick by the Chiefs in 2013 and was thought to be a great backup behind Jamaal Charles. Charles went down for several games throughout Davis’ tenure in Kansas City, and he helped the team just fine.

While Davis could be traded to another team this offseason, if he is on the roster come week one, the pressure is on for him to make something of himself.

The problem Davis has had during his pro career has been holding onto the football. He has seven fumbles throughout his three-year career, and that doesn’t even count the crucial one he had during the AFC Divisional Round against the Patriots.

That fumble in Foxborough pretty much sealed Kansas City’s fate in that game, as they were driving and looking to make it a one score game at the time of the fumble.

While Davis could be traded to another team this offseason, if he is on the roster come week one, the pressure is on for him to make something of himself. He already had Charles to compete with, and now will have Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware to try and out duel.
