Best Seventh Round Draft Picks of All-Time – Number 7: Billy Jackson (Chiefs running back from 1981-1984)

In the 1981 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs went with Billy Jackson in the seventh round. Jackson would go on to play four seasons in the NFL, all for the Chiefs.

His best season came during his rookie year in 1981 when he had ten trips into the end zone. He only had 398 rushing yards that year, but the ten touchdowns were the most impressive stat during Jackson’s career.

He ended his NFL career with 399 rushing attempts for 1,365 yards and 16 touchdowns.

The fact that Billy Jackson was a seventh-round pick, only started one game in 1981, but still managed to get ten touchdowns shows how good of a seventh-rounder he truly was.

While he didn’t see success after that 1981 season, Billy Jackson is still one of the best Chiefs’ seventh-rounders of all-time.
