Chiefs | Broncos: How the mighty have fallen

Although the Denver Broncos are the reigning Super Bowl Champions, their offseason was kind of a mess.

Not only did the Broncos lose their two starting quarterbacks, they lost two defensive starters, overpaid C.J. Anderson due to a clerical error, and made a desperate trade for Mark Sanchez.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The Broncos will claim that Sanchez is just insurance, and they may even believe it, but both in the draft and in free agency, the talent at the quarterback position is bleak.

Either way, their team will look quite different from the team who handily beat the Carolina Panthers.

Luckily for the KC Chiefs, the NFL most likely will not care whether the Broncos are a shell of their former self.

The Broncos are a popular team with national reach, and the perception that they are a good team will linger just long enough for the KC Chiefs to trounce them in a marquee game.
