By Scott Dillon
Christian Colon
Christian Colon hasn’t had a lot of opportunities to play for the Royals. When he has gotten a chance, he has come up big time.
Christian Colon has had two of the biggest at-bats in Royals’ history. He took both of those bats off the bench as a pinch hitter.

In the 2014 Wild Card game he drove in the tying run when he pinch hit. He then stole second base and scored the winning run on Salvy’s hit down the left field line.
In 2015, Colon entered the game in the 12th inning of game five of the World Series. He roped a single into left that scored the go-ahead and deciding run. He hadn’t taken an at-bat in nearly 30 days at that point.
Colon’s song is ‘Takin’ Care of Business’ by Bachman-Turner Overdrive.
Colon hasn’t gotten many shots, but he always seems to work his way into some of the biggest spots. There’s no denying that he’s taken care of business when he’s gotten his opportunities.
I hope Colon gets a shot at second base this year, but if he doesn’t it’s nice to know the Royals have a clutch hitter in the dugout.
What song would you pick for the Royals’ clutch pinch hitter?
