KC Chiefs: 5 Super Bowl 50 Prop Bets To Consider
By Scott Dillon
The KC Chiefs aren’t in Super Bowl 50 this season, but there are some prop bets that Chiefs’ fans can support.
A prop bet doesn’t have anything to do with the actual outcome of the game, at least for the most part. What that means is you aren’t actually betting on who is winning the game, but on things that may or may not happen.
Before we dive into the prop bets that KC Chiefs fans should be able to support, I’ll explain a little about how the different kinds of betting will work. I should also state that when I say Chiefs’ should ‘support’ these bets, it means these bets may have something to do with the Broncos losing. I think it’s fair to assume that most Chiefs’ fans don’t want to see their rivals leave with a victory.
For all slides in this slideshow, an example of a $100 bet will be used. I chose this example simply because it’s easier to explain how the payouts work. Espn.com has a link that can explain the odds and money lines also.
Let’s say something has odds of 10:1. What that means is a bet of $100 would pay out 10 times the bet plus your original $100. A $100 bet at 10:1 would see a $1,100 payout. (Your $100 bet plus your $1,000 winnings)
Money lines are a little more confusing. Simply put, a money line gives you two options: A favorite and an underdog. The favored outcome will have a (-) in front of it while the ‘dog’ will have a (+). Let’s use the money line on the game itself for this example.

The line on Super Bowl 50 is: Carolina (-260) vs Denver (+210). The easiest way to try and figure this out is to use $100. (Money Lines use $100 to determine the payouts. For example, If you were to bet $50 you would have to divide the payout by 2)
In this scenario Carolina is favored because they have the (-). What that means is it would take a bet of $260 on Carolina to win $100. (Your total payout would be $360: $260 from your bet and your $100 winnings)
On the flip side, a bet of $100 on Denver to win would pay out $210. (Your total payout would be $310: $100 from your bet your $210 winnings)
Now that the hard part is over, let’s get to the prop bets that could help the Broncos to a loss!
