The Bad: Maty Mauk
If Maty Mauk isn’t the most frustrating quarterback in the SEC, I’m not sure who is. Sure, there are other quarterbacks who are technically ‘worse’ (I’m looking at you Jeremy Johnson), but at least you know going into the game that they aren’t good.

With Mauk, you never know what you’re going to get. Mauk with multiple touchdowns? Mauk with multiple interceptions? Mauk with twenty rush attempts? Nobody knows. Today, we got Maty the running back. He led the team in carries. Not exactly a winning formula.
That’s a lot to ask for. Mauk was just 15-of-30 through the air, including some terrible passes that probably should have been intercepted.Maybe it’s not as bad as it seems to me. Maybe I’m just a hater. But if Mauk doesn’t get better (or Gary Pinkel doesn’t use Drew Lock more), the Tigers could be in for a long season filled with many failed scrambles and head-scratching interceptions.
