3. Jamaal Charles

Jamaal Charles. The End. That’s all, folks.

I jest, but you already know all about Jamaal Charles.

These teams are evenly matched. On paper, it’s hard to find an advantage in any phase of the game.

That’s when it’s on your superstars to make the difference.

Jamaal Charles is prime time. He’s different from other running backs. He sees the game at a different speed. He routinely makes plays in ways that you’ve never seen before.

It’s an innate ability that you can’t quite put your finger on. An unmistakable style. A mastery of an art form.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Barry Sanders had it. Marshall Faulk, LaDainian Tomlinson. Guys who perform at the highest level of their profession for a sustained period of time.

Anyway, Charles is not a secret weapon tonight. He’s a known mismatch on every play.

He’s probably priority number one for the Broncos defense. At all times Charles is one hand-off, one catch away from breaking the game open – even when you know he’s getting the ball.

Defending a dynamic Chiefs offense, the Broncos will inevitably allow Charles to get the ball with room to run. It’s just a matter of how many times.

If Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense can free up Charles a couple times tonight, he’ll be the difference in the game. Jamaal’ready know!
