1. Play From In Front
It’s a short week and it’s going to be hot.
Both teams traveled, rest is at a premium, minor injuries are magnified, and who knows what this weather will do.
A 14-point lead might as well be three scores. A 10-point deficit could be a mountain to climb.
In Vegas, the game-total opened at 46 points. It’s down to 41.5 and 42 in most books, according to PayneInsider.com. Take that for what it’s worth, but Vegas projects this as more of a defensive battle than an offensive showdown.

If the Kansas City Chiefs can jump on the Broncos early, it’ll be a long night for the visitors.
Manning will barely be able to hear himself at the line of scrimmage as it is, and scoring points in a hurry on this Chiefs defense is exactly what the Broncos hope to avoid.
With a lead, the Chiefs’ offense can grind on the Denver front-seven and open up down-the-field passing lanes. Playing with a lead keeps the Chiefs’ offense unpredictable.
If the Chiefs play from behind, it allows outside linebackers Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware one-on-one pass rush match-ups with the Chiefs’ offensive tackles. And that’s a quick way to a punt, or worse.
Seems like an obvious key to victory, but it’s one that should be emphasized.
