Some might be worrying about Cueto after his last three starts have been less than stellar, as he’s allowed 16 runs in his last three starts (just 17 innings of work), but come on. It’s Johnny Cueto guys.
All pitchers go through funks, and Cueto is seeing one right now. Good pitchers go through these funks all the time, as Madison Bumgarner experienced one himself around this time last year. Obviously things turned out pretty well for him.
So, relax. Cueto is fine and is more than likely going to be our Game 1 pitcher come ALDS time.
