Ron Jaworski: Full NFL Quarterback Rankings

Jameis Winston was the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft so it’s not surprising that he’s ranked last here. The truth is that no one knows how well or how bad Winston will play because we haven’t seen him in any type of NFL action yet.
Winston had a nice career during his time with the Florida State Seminoles, but had some games where he threw one too many interceptions. Still, Winston did not lose a football game until the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day this year.
I don’t foresee Winston having a great rookie year, but it bodes well for him that he’s a quarterback in the NFC South, a division that struggled mightily in 2014.
Similar to Winston, Marcus Mariota was the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, but according to Ron Jaworski is the better quarterback headed into this season.
Mariota had great success in college as a member of the Oregon Ducks, and even chose to forego his senior season and enter the draft a year early. He’ll have some decent weapons this season (which beats Winston’s main threat in Mike Evans) including rookie Dorial Green-Beckham and tight end Delanie Walker.
Mariota is also dangerous on the ground. He should be able to record a lot of rushing yards, but I’ll be surprised if he can lead the Titans to a winning (or even average) record.
