Ahhhh finally.

The Chiefs not only meet the San Diego Chargers in the 11th week of the season, but they’ll see their first (and as of now, their only) appearance on Sunday Night Football in 2015. It’s the first time in a couple of years that the Chiefs will not be squaring off against Denver on Sunday Night Football, but instead they get a worthy foe in the Chargers.

Last season saw the Chiefs doing something they hadn’t done since 2003, which was sweeping the San Diego Chargers. Both games were exciting ones, and Kansas City managed to keep the Bolts out of the playoffs in the final game of the season. It was hysterical seeing Philip Rivers crying on the sideline as a result.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Rivers has become one of Chiefs’ fans’ most hated players throughout his stint with the Chargers, and it never gets old seeing him pout whenever things don’t go his way.

Expect to see Rivers pouting some more in this game.

Despite San Diego being a good team, I just don’t think they made enough additions during the off season to compete with the Chiefs. They added Orlando Franklin on the offensive line, but their defense is not on the level as the Chiefs’.

Matt Verderame of Arrowhead Addict had a funny bit about San Diego’s defense and how they’re not intimidating at all.

Alex Smith will have a big night on primetime TV for the world to see, throwing for multiple touchdowns (maybe even to a wide receiver!) and Jamaal Charles will run the ball around the Chargers all night long. Cue that Lionel Richie song.

Prediction: Sit back and enjoy this one Chiefs fans, as this will go solely in favor of Kansas City. Chiefs win 31-7 on Sunday Night Football.
