Making The Case For Mike Moustakas
Much has been made about the improvements Mike Moustakas has made in his approach this season, and how those changes are netting positive results. When Ned Yost announced Moustakas was going to be his number two hitter, that just seemed nutty.
Well, Moustakas has proven Yost’s faith in him was well founded.
- Home Runs – 4 – tied for 4th
- Runs Scored – 25 – tied for third
- Batting Average – .319 – 2nd
- Doubles – 8 – tied for 5th
- Hits – 48 – 2nd
Clearly Moustakas has turned the corner. Even though his RBI total is quite low (13), he isn’t being asked to drive in runs but to set the table for the middle of the line-up hitters. He has done that very well.
He has earned his place on this list.
